We don’t have enough good things to say about Chris and HC Sports Management. There are so many “money grabs” in sports from camps to email/text “invites” that it’s hard to tell what is legitimate or not. Chris has been incredibly helpful in weeding out what is “real” and what is not. If he doesn’t know right away, he’ll look into it, call the teams and find out. He has been pivotal in our sons hockey journey from mentoring, coaching and guidance. Chris Hills at HC Sports Management is fantastic! Chris is a perfect fit for our family, and we got along instantly. We started working with Chris this season during the changes in the hockey landscape during the Covid Pandemic. Chris took charge helping us navigate some major changes and helped our son continue playing hockey at a high level of exposure even when rinks were getting shut down and teams were not playing games. Nathan has been with HC Sports Management for about 2 years. I credit the team at Hockey Concepts for making the connections that enabled him to now be playing prep school hockey as well as being in competitive tournaments on a competitive team that attracts notice for the next step, ideally a starting place on a NAHL Junior hockey team. On his own, he could play in the same tournaments, but not for as good as teams, and would not be getting the same notice. 

I was a doubter at first as I saw others getting the looks and the moves and nothing was happening for Nathan. I get that Nathan is a goalie and therefore it is not as easy as someone who plays out, but if it were easy, than I would not need HC Sports Management. Nathan was finding offers on his own but still Chris said, “trust us and we will get him the right opportunity”. Well they did and the move we made seems to have been a good one. I am very happy with the education he is now getting at his new school and the new coach and play he is seeing with this team. We are looking forward to Nathan’s senior year and ideally the next big step after that. Thank you Ian and Chris and thank you HC Sports Management team.

Chris was a family advisor for my son Jacob when he played Jr Hockey in the northeast some 6 or 7 years ago. Jacob has since moved away from the game as a player but was given the opportunity to scout for Chris out in British Columbia CDN and the Northwest US.
